This course contains the manual, “Multi-Setting Peaceful Mind,” a treatment approach developed to help providers (including those who are not mental health providers) who are not specialists in dementia deliver evidence-based CBT to address anxiety in individuals with mild-to-moderate dementia or cognitive impairment.

Objectives:

a). Name at least three of the tools described in this course that can help individuals with cognitive impairment manage anxiety.

b). Discuss the relationship between anxiety and dementia.

c). Describe at least two learning strategies that might be helpful for individuals with a memory impairment.

d). Name at least three causes of cognitive impairment and/or dementia.

Target Audience:

The target audience for this event includes psychologists, licensed clinical social workers, licensed counselors, MFT’s, and other clinical mental health professionals.
