About this course

This course discusses the link between HIV, AIDS, and drug abuse, and the ways in which drug abuse interacts with HIV.

Objectives:

1. Discuss how drug abuse impacts HIV.
2. Identify the scope of the HIV epidemic and discuss populations most at risk for contracting HIV.
3. Name at least two strategies to prevent and treat HIV in drug-using or drug-abusing populations.
4. Describe the Seek, Test, Treat, and Retain approach and discuss its usefulness.
